It appears Thuso Mbedu and Nomzamo Mbatha are ready to hit 2020 out of the park! The stars have been listed in Essence’s top 20 Black Hollywood Stars To Watch Out for 2021 list. Talk about recognition! The two Mzansi actresses have taken to Hollywood and are making their names day by day in the industry.
Thuso Mbedu was nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in the telenovela Is’Thunzi and is without doubt one of my Mzansi’s most talented youngsters. An Emmy nomination is no joke! The actress has been investing in her passion for years now, having attended Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City, New York in the United States of America. Thuso is set to have her international debut in Barry Jenkins’ The Underground Railroad, which is based on the Colson Whitehead. Thuso’s excitement is contagious as she shares teasers on her Instagram. Thuso’s role on Scandal as Ketso had us all worshipping at her feet, deservedly so. Now it appears the world will also get a taste of some Thuso finesse. There’s so much to expect from the actress this year!
Nomzamo Mbatha on the other hand is also making major moves in Hollywood. The actress left her role in Isibaya to relocate to Hollywood and chase her wildest dreams. Clearly the move is paying off. Nomzamo is set to appear in Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall in Coming 2 America. The actress recently got us all excited when she posted a pic of her in a super hero costume signifying a new role. The actress also tagged Marvel studios for effect. Superheroine Mbatha loading… Last year Nomzamo signed with a new PR agency, Schure Media Group, apparently the same PR agency as Beyonce.
One thing is for sure, Thuso Mbedu and Nomzamo Mbatha are about to own 2021 and we are behind them all the way!
