Too much rain surely causes fauna and flora to conflict. Just recently crocodiles have been fleeing from dams into homes and hospital wards. Just like other reptiles a snake is cold blooded hence it is always looking for a warm place to hide. With these rains most snakes cannot habitat in holes hence they seek cover elsewhere.
People social media always have various opinions with others commenting on the issue saying,
“It simply means that there are too many rats in that kitchen.”
“Arrest thhose who killed it if it is one of the protected species.”
“Cook it and eat it.”
The bright side of the story is that there are no reported casualties.
