Health Minister Zweli Mkhize has been exposed or lying about a 200 bed Covid-19 treatment facility in North West.
In June this year Mkhize told parliamentarian and DA shadow Health Minister Siviwe Gwarube that the North West Maseve Field Hospital was 90% complete including the 200 beds in Rustenburg.
A recent visit by Gwarube shows the field remains empty field and no construction is happening.
In recent weeks the ANC has been accused of corruption in the awarding of Covid-19 tenders with one of the most talked about alleged corruption case being the R125 million tender awarded to Presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko’s husband King Madzikane ll Thandisizwe Diko by the Gauteng Medical department.
ANC secretary general Ace Magashule’s sons allegedly received R2,7 million worth of Covid-19 tender contracts from the Free State provincial government.
