Gomora actors Sicelo Buthelezi (Teddy) and Velile Makhoba (Gugu) wow Mzansi after hitting the dance floor and smashing the Zulu traditional Indlamu dance. Gomora was voted the number one soapie with the best off-screen relations within the cast, and dancing videos attest to that.
In Gomora, Sicelo Buthelezi plays the role of Teddy, a slow learner born with an alcoholic fetal syndrome. Teddy was raised by his single mother, Zodwa (Sannah Mchunu), after Don abandoned them for a wealthy woman. Life wasn’t easy for Teddy growing up; at one time, Glady’s Dlamini adopted him, a social worker, after her mother slid back to alcohol abuse.
A jack and master of many trades, Sicelo Buthelezi is an established music composer, dancer and performer famously known as Seekay in the music industry. The multi-talented entertainer started as a musician at a young age and decided to pause his career to focus on acting. After landing a role on Gomora, to play Teddy, Seekay quickly became fans’ favourite and thus decided to pull along his music career.
Speaking with Newzroom Afrika on separating Seekay the musician and Teddy, the actor, Sicelo revealed that he has a point to prove to fans that he is more than the Gomora Teddy character and has more to offer in the entertainment circles.
Seekay recently released a Chimurenga (Originating from Zimbabwe) and Amapiano mixed song called Harare, which was well received.

After releasing the much-anticipated single titled Harare, Seekay posted a video with dancer Bontle Modiselle dancing to the new song, which went viral on TikTok. The Harare dance video received over 1 million views in 48 hrs, breaking the South African dance challenge for most viewed video in 24hrs.
Velile Makhoba debuted on Gomora as Gugu, the daughter of Mbongeni Ndaba, who disliked her stepmother Thathi and blamed her for keeping her father from his first family. The alumina of Ekhaya Multi Art Centre and Phakama Dance Academy, Velile is an experienced professional traditional dancer who has toured Europe in the past.
