70 years old Gomora actress Mam Sonto ‘Connie Chiume’ produced silky Amapiano club dance moves leaving Mzansi questioning her actual age. The celebrated actress had been trending late after scooping two Lifetime Achievement awards in two months. Her first Lifetime achievement award was from the South African Film and Television Awards (Saftas). Then the second is from Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards. Undoubtedly, Connie is in her best mood after such an achievement, and she can’t hide it despite being an old grandmother.

No one could blame Connie for being in such high spirits after being recognised internationally. Everyone also wants to be associated with the veteran actress, thanks to her lifetime brilliance. For some time, Connie had been known for her love for dancing, but she had never danced the way she did this time. Usually, she would make old-school moves from old-school music, which wasn’t a shocker to most of the fans. This time she decided to take it to another level as she challenged the younger generation on Amapiano moves. If Connie continues producing this kind of move at her age, she will break her legs.

Gomora actress ‘Mam Sonto’ Connie Chiume’s amapiano club dance moves

Yes, Connie Chiume’s actual age is 70 years, and she turned on the 5th of June this year. This is a fact that is difficult to b believe after one watches her recent video dancing to Amapiano’s hit song Manca from Toss and Felo Le Tee. It seemed that Connie was a bit high, but the stamina she showed proved the opposite; otherwise, she would have fallen to the ground. As the hit song went by, Sonto could not let it go as she dragged her right leg up and looked like she was falling. She wasn’t falling, but it was an amapiano move that is getting popular these days.

Sunny Obasi is a popular dance and nightclub in Benoni, Gauteng province. Connie spoke of her experience in the club, saying that she only wants to be told once. She later thanked the club management for honouring her, which justified why she was deep in the club. It seemed that she was in the club more the dancing than the real clubbing popular with the youths.
