SABC 1 is back yet again with a hot new show. The show is called Ingono Yomsamo. The name itself translates to the arm of the prayer temple. Ingono Yomsamo is a show which teaches viewers about spiritual awakening and teachings. Not only that, but the show also teaches about the importance and balance between both God and the ancestors.
Lately, there has been a growing interest amongst South Africans in learning about their roots, where they come from and where they are going. More often than not, people express how they get lost in transitions trying to figure these things out. Viewers watch these shows as this information is not easy to find elsewhere. Where this information is usually abundant, hefty amounts of money must be paid.

Viewers can expect to learn what causes certain unexplainable problems they might be facing. In one of the episode trailers, we see an older woman who tells a very mystic story. Viewers will get goosebumps with her story and the stories of many others. Supernatural things are too thought-provoking.
The older woman details how she fell into the water at the age of 12 and discovered there was a python around her body. Fortunately, nothing happened to her physically, but she endured a curse from that snake. Now that she is old, her grandchild has spiritual problems due to that curse.
Other common problems will include strange reoccurring dreams which have deep meanings. Things like people coming into terms with the messages they can’t understand from their ancestors. Viewers will also see curses and blockages being removed. Not only that but also who and what exactly released the curses to the guests on the show.
The presenter of the show
Dr Velaphi Mkhize presents the show; he is the jack of all trades and master of now. He is a traditional healer, a poet, an academic and an author. Dr Velaphi Mkhize is also the president and founder of the Umsamo Institute. He is the person who carries out consultations on the show and gives the guests spiritual guidance.
With the many things he does, he will also be advising the guests of Ingono Yomsamo about rituals and using traditional medicine. Some of the traditional medicine he gives to his patients is medicine he has come out with solely on his own. The show airs tonight at 17:30.
