Watch: MacG goes international, interviews American singer Ari Lennox on Podcast and Chill.
South African number one podcaster Mac G (MacGyver Mukwevho) has again set another podcast record by interviewing an international superstar Ari Lennox on his Podcast and Chill platform. Having closed 2021 with a bang, the channels’ legion of fans are celebrating success after MacG bagged an interview with American RnB artist Ari Lennox.
Who is Ari Lennox on Podcast and Chill?
Ari Lennox, whose real name is Courtney Shanade Salter, is a thirty-year-old American RnB singer famous among South Africans after featuring Nasty C in his song Black And White. She is signed to Dreamville Records, owned by J Cole and achieved the feat as the first female artist to sign with the recording label.
During the latest Podcast and Chill episode, MacG hosted Ari Lennox in a virtual interview. The interview kicked off with questions about musical career and personal life. What seemed to be a smooth interview nearly turned south after MacG asked personal and awkward questions. Famous for asking about controversial topics, MacG asked the American rapper if someone was giving her satisfying intercourse.
“Where are we at right now, is someone giving it to you now?
A shocked Ari Lennox played down the question, revealed that she was chilling, and MacG quickly turned back to more important questions.
Chillers defend MacG and celebrate going International.
Podcast and Chill’s fans known as Chillers took it to Twitter to celebrate interviewing the first international celebrity on the platform. Despite attempts to cancel the channel numerous times in South Africa, Mac G and co-presenter Sol Phenduka proved the channel’s power belongs to the chillers; hence they are uncancelable.
