Watch: Gomora actor Ntokozo impresses Mzansi with uphuthu – amasi eating skills
Actor Ntobeko Sishi who plays the character of Ntokozo Dlamini on Gomora, has impressed Mzansi while eating uphuthu and amasi in Alexandra Park. Ntobeko impressed his legion of fans who labelled him humble and grounded; despite affording three-course meals and fancy snacks, he adapted to the ekasi environment and ate basic phuthu and amasi.
On Gomora, Ntokozo is the son of Melusi, the Principal of Gomora High School and Glady’s an ever-busy social worker. His life changed forever when his girlfriend Mazet (Siphesihle Ndaba) was involved in a botched car high-jacking ordeal that claimed Mbongeni Ndaba’s life. Ntokozo is friends with Teddy and has worked for Don Buthelezi (Israel Matseke Zulu) in his car hijacking criminal syndicate. Don kidnapped him after discovering that Ntokozo sold out to rival Thathi, forced to dig his grave only to be saved by Mazet, Melusi and Zodwa.
Ntobeko (23) was born in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal; he holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town (UCT). As a multi-talented creative, Ntokozo is a full-time artist with a handful of albums and singles to his name; he recently hogged the headlines when his hit song ‘Nothing new’ was featured in a Netflix movie, Happiness Ever After.
Despite sharing a fair share of troubles and problems on screen, Ntokozo and Mazet are close friends offset. Siphesihle Ndaba uploaded Ntobeko’s phuthu eating videos in Gomora township, where the Gomora cast members were shooting. Ntokozo Sishi being a newbie in acting is part of the Gomora main cast rubbing shoulders with the industry legends like Connie Chiume, Katlego Danke and, Zolisa Xaluva. He also boasts a rising music career; his talent was noticed by artist and television personality Boity Thulo who labelled him a gem and a future star.
