The Pamela character on Generations is an investigative journalist who Tshidi headhunted into #Ezweni to push a personal agenda. She debuts on Generations The Legacy as Siyanda Khoza’s estranged wife; their marriage was on the verge of collapsing. By eliminating competition from Dr Sphe, Pamela managed to rekindle her relationship with Siyanda before he lost his life in unclear circumstances.
She went rogue in a bit to find justice for her husband to no avail. Known for speaking to authority and undiluted journalism, she was used by Nkosiyabo Cele to bite the hand that feeds her.
Pamela nearly lost her job at Fly News after publishing the Kabisi Moroka’s dirty linen in the public space.
Despite losing onscreen, Zola is a winner in real life, a bubbly mother of one and wife to actor and producer Thomas Gumede. She made her breakthrough in the film industry when she played a role on Intersections, an HIV and AIDS themed drama series in 2013. Zola Nombona went on to play the role of Monde on Lockdown, a prison-themed drama series. Before scoring the Generations The Legacy gig, she played Zolike on Isono, premiered on BET Africa.
In real life, Zola takes inspiration from actress Dawn Thandeka King popularly known for playing MaNgcobo on SABC 1 most-watched Soapie Uzalo.
