No doubt Uzalo won’t be the same with its firebrand Dawn Thandeka King who plays MaNgcobo. The seasoned actress pulled a shocker when she dumped Mzansi most-watched drama series for DiepCity. Well, little is known about her dramatic exit but many have assumed it will be through arrest.
Well in the wake of that with DiepCity debuting on the 5th of April the Uzalo cast and crew have bid an emotional farewell to Dawn Thandeka King.
Of late Uzalo has been marred with behind the screen drama from the mass exodus of seasoned actors to salary woes.

However, MaNgcobo took to social media to share the emotional farewell which has since seen the star actress trending. The firebrand shared a video of the cast and crew singing and saying goodbye.

In a video shared on Instagram, the Uzalo cast is seen handing over Thandeka a portrait of herself. The award-winning actress captioned the emotional farewell video with a heartfelt text.

However, Dawn Thandeka King exit made all sorts of headlines and made Uzalo go back to the drawing board. She announced her exit in the wake of Baby Cele and Qhabanga exit news. Since then Uzalo has returned all guns back including the likes of GC, Mastermind and a host of others to bolster their cast. Uzalo went as far as tagging along Multi-millionaire Shauwn Mhkize to their cast.

Back then in January Dawn Thandeka King indicated that her exit was more of a new challenge and spreading her wings.
“Its time for new opportunities and growth its hard to I have to do this,” she said.
Well, the comment section weighed in with emotional farewell comments. All the best for her in her new chapter. Its goodbye Uzalo, hello DiepCity for the seasoned actress. The much-awaited drama series seems to be a game-changer when it comes to drama series in Mzansi.
For the first time, Mzansi will have to see celebrated star actor and Rhythm City star actor Suffocate Ndlovu starring alongside the thuggish and controversial Uzalo’s MaNgcobo.
However, with Isibaya wrapping up its season finale Mzansi Magic has let the cat out of the bag and released a long list of seasoned actors who are set to star in the upcoming drama series. DiepCity. Yes from the onset the new highly anticipated drama series was said to be Diepsloot but it’s been changed to DiepCity and it premieres on Monday 5 April at 20h30.
