Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena who plays Sihle on Isibaya was arrested last night for the attempted murder of her husband, Robert Ngwenya.
Zinhle is accused of attempting to murder her husband in an incident that left her husband’s bodyguard dead.
A statement by Gauteng SApS spokesman read, “A 29 year old female suspect is set to make a first appearance in the Pretoria Magistrate Court on Wednesday, 17 February 2021following her arrest on Tuesday 16 February 2021on suspicion of being involved in the attempted murder of her husband and the murder of her husband’s bodyguard. Following an intensive investigation into the shooting incident that happened on 28 January 2021, police found evidence that linked the woman and murder case.”
This wasn’t the first attempt on Ngwenya’s life as he survived a shoot out in 2019 where his car was also set alight in Attridgeville following death threats.
Apparently, the January shooting incident happened just days after her husband, Robert Ngwenya made public their pending divorce. The businessman announced that he is publishing a book titled “5 YEARS IN MARRIAGE a chronicle of LOVE, MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE”. Dr Robert Ngwenya stated that the book is
“… a journey starting from excited butterfly feelings in the stomach and slowly progressing into ugly fights and inevitable separation. It’s a personal analysis of marriage based experience and lessons that life has so carefully and slowly taught.”

The attempted murder case is possibly not the only legal issue that the actress will be facing in the immediate future.
Zinhle Mabena also allegedly got into a drunk driving accident that left 2 dead and one paralyzed for life. The accident occurred in 2017 but was swept under the rug and Zinhle never faced any legal action from the accident.
Zinhle was driving from a get together in Vosloorus where she was coming from a get together with friends, having had alcohol. The actress attempted to overtake 5 cars at 180km/hr. This resulted in a head-on collision with a Corolla. Her car was a write off that the insurance company refused to pay for as she was driving over the speed limit and under the influence of alcohol.
The actress was found unconcious on the scene, taken to hospital and after some tests, it was stated that she was under the unfluence of alcohol. The driver of the Corolla and a passenger did not survive while a third passenger survived but is now paralyzed for life. The family of the paralyzed now seeks legal action against the actress of the recently canned Isibaya.
