Royal AM FC claimed the third Dstv Premier Soccer league position after claiming a third consecutive victory.
Goals from Sepana Letsoalo and Mbhazima Rikhotso ensured the visitors walked away with all three points to the delight of their benefactor.
Dressed in designer clothes and carrying a Bluetooth speaker, the Royal AM entourage thronged the Chatsworth stadium after the final whistle with a khaki envelope of cash live on television. Players and technical staff members were spoiled with their winning bonuses instantly to the delight of match officials, commentators and opponents.

Royal AM, lead by Malawian Coach John Maduka, has enjoyed a healthy run of matches since defeating Chippa United at Chatsworth Stadium and a famous victory away against Kaizer Chiefs. Before winning against local rivals Maritzburg United, they thrashed TS Galaxy by four goals to two.
Speaking after the win club’s chairperson, Andile Mpisane, said he was pleased with the resilience shown by the team, and they are not in the league to fill numbers; they are in it to win.
“We are happy about the team’s performance, the players and the technical staff won a difficult match. When we arrived in this league, we were labelled punching bags; I am glad we proved otherwise. From now we will continue to put up a determined face and focus on our next match against Marumo Gallants FC, again a difficult opponent.”
