Royal AM FC is a South African football team that plays in the Dstv Premier Soccer League and is owned by multi-millionaire Shauwn Mkhize known as MamMkhize or the Queen of Bling

Royal AM FC made headlines after purchasing PSL top-flight status of Bloemfontein Celtic and relocated the club to Pietermaritzburg under the new name, Royal AM (Real Kings).  They were named giant-killers after thrashing 13 times PSL winners Kaizer Chiefs 4-1 in FNB stadium.

Multi-millionaire Shauwn Mkhize bought the Royal Andile Mpisane FC club and named it after her son who is the club chairperson Andile Mpisane. The duo brought flavour and glamour to the South African first division through exotic style and competitive player salaries.

Royal AM FC Coach

John Maduka

The team is managed by 51-year-old Malawian and ex Bloemfontein Celtic player John Maduka.

Prior to the kick-off of the new season, Royal AM FC spoiled their head coach John Maduka with an R1.4 million BMW X5.

John Maduka has 67 PSL appearances for Bloemfontein Celtic and debuted for Malawi in a 0–4 loss against Zimbabwe in 1991, he managed to amass 29 caps for Malawi National Team.

The Royal AM FC coach John Maduka takes home R725 000 per month and performance-related bonuses.

Royal AM FC Goal Keepers

Hugo Nyame

The Cameroonian 35-year-old Hugo Nyame is one of the Royal AM FC goalkeepers, he is currently on a 3 year deal with the Pietermaritzburg outfit. Goalkeeper Hugo Nyame earns R225 000 per month.

Sipho Chaine

The 24-year-old goalkeeper recently signed a contract extension with Bloemfontein Celtic till June 2024 and is currently being paid R95 000 per month.

Royal AM FC Defenders

Thato Lingwati

Cyril Thato Lingwati is a 29-year-old South African soccer player who plays as a defender for Royal AM FC. Lingwati earns R130 000 per month which is a major improvement from his R98 000 previous Bloemfontein Celtic deal.

Mbhazima Tshepo Rikhotso

28-year-old Royal AM FC and Bafana Bafana central defender Mbhazima Tshepo Rikhotso nicknamed “ The Giraffe” due to his height earns a staggering R235 000 per month. For ushering the defence line, Rikhotso takes home a performance-related bonus of R10 300 per clean sheet kept by the team.

Lesego Manganyi

Lesego Manganyi currently sits on a contract set to expire in June 2023, the 34 year earns R215 000 per month and a bonus of R10 300 per clean sheet.

Royal AM FC Midfielders

Zukile Mkhize

Royal AM FC right-footed winger 26-year-old Zukile Mkhize earns a salary of R210 000 per month and pockets an unspecified winning bonus.

Tshidiso Monamodi

Soweto born and former Kaizer Chiefs 24-year-old midfielder Tshidiso Monamodi known as Tshidinator is currently on a 3-year contract deal with Royal AM FC. Tshidiso Monamodi pockets R275 00 per month and a winning bonus of R10 300 and R15 000 in the league and cup matches respectively.

Given Kamogelo Mashikinya

30-year-old Real Kings midfielder and former Black Aces player Given Mashikinya earns a monthly salary of R265 000. Rumour has it that he is one of the players set to receive top range cars from the club owner Shauwn Mkhize.

Kabelo Mahlasela

The 30-year-old skilful midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela currently provides much-needed creativity in the Royal AM FC team. Kabelo spend his youthful years with Orlando Pirates junior ranks, along the way he joined their rivals Kaizer Chiefs where 8 suffered a knee injury that sidelined him for 8months. Mahlasela currently earns R275 000 per month and unspecified winning and appearance bonuses.

Tebogo Potsane

The 28-year-old Royal AM midfielder Tebogo Potsane is nicknamed “Soldier Boy” after avoiding imprisonment for recording a video during lockdown while wearing an SANDF army uniform and threatening to “sort” people who are defying lockdown regulations. Potsane earns R215 000 per month and other performance-related winning bonuses.

Levy Mashiane

Levy Mashiane is a 25-year-old South African soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Royal AM FC, Mashiane currently earns R210 000 per month.

Royal AM FC Strikers

Sepana Letsoalo

Sepana Letsoalo is a 28-year-old South African soccer player who plays as a centre forward for Royal AM FC and Bafana Bafana.  Currently Real King’s top goalscorer in all competitions, Letsoalo earns a staggering R365 000 per month. Sepana has a winning bonus of R10 300 and earns R3 800 000 if he wins the coveted Dstv PSL golden boot.

Ndumiso Mabena

Former Orlando Pirates 34-year-old Ndumiso Mabena is the captain for Royal AM FC and plays as a striker. Leading from the front, so as his paycheque, Mabena earns an R 425 000 salary per month and winning bonuses.
