Uzalo set to bring back GC, Thobile, Mxo and Mastermind after the mass exodus of lead actors
Yes, they have been making all sorts of headlines and it seems as if the rumour might come true as they are set to return to the hit soapie. Of late Uzalo has seen the mass exodus of lead actors after Dawn Thandeka King, Baby Cele and Siyabonga Shibe parted ways with the show.
To many, the much-awaited exit of Cele and Shibe didn’t come as a surprise as they both confirmed their exit late last year after making a series of headlines. However, the exit of Uzalo firebrand Mangcobo took Mzansi by surprise. Even a few weeks later little is known about her exit but the vivacious actress is set to star on an upcoming series.
With their lead actors off the hook, Uzalo woes seem to be far from over. No doubt desperate measures need desperate decisions. Rumour has it that Uzalo has reached out to their outcast for a kiss and makeup in a bid to save the soapie from sinking.
We can all agree that Uzalo has been making all sorts of headlines of late from unpaid salary woes to reunion rumours.
Rumour has it that the old faces are set to show up again after the hit drama series lost three seasoned actors who had much influence when it comes to viewers.

According to a close source Khanya Dladla, Nokuthula Mabika, Naymaps Maphalala and Ntokozo Dlamini would return to bolster the cast.
“Uzalo had to negotiate with these actors for them to return on set and from what I heard they all agreed. The show producers saw it viable to bring back old aces rather than to land new actors,”
If this happens to be true we are set for thrills and unmatched drama. Another source did let the cat out of the bag when he confirmed that the storylines for the upcoming seasons are now including returning actors.
However, this now seems not to be a rumour after Baby Cele confirmed their return. During an interview on the 12th of February Cele congratulated the aces back to the show. Who knows? We patiently wait for the news to be official but it’s now confirmed that they are set to return.
Contacted for comment Nomfundo Zondi did not deny or confirm the return of new actors. However, she did indicate that Uzalo will table out a detail press release.

She went on to add that the production was still underway and making some changes.
