South African comedian and host of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah is hosting the 63rd edition of the Annual Grammy Awards which are to be held on the 31st of January 2021
If there is one thing we know, it’s that Trevor Noah is a very Big deal. The Comedian has bagged the Grammy Awards. After having Alicia Keys hosting the Award Ceremony for the last 2 years, Trevor Noah has been announced as the master of ceremony for the 63rd edition of the Grammy Awards. His response to the nomination? “Despite the fact that I’m extremely disappointed that the Grammys have refused to have me sing or be nominated for best pop album, I am thrilled to be hosting this auspicious event,” he says in a statement.
The 36 year old is no stranger to the comedians as he was nominated for best Comedy Album. While this may be a surprise to many, the former Daily Show host, Jon Stewart, also got to host the biggest night and music, perhaps Trevor Noah’s turn was merely in the works.
While the Grammy had taken a pause from having comedians host the award ceremony, the Grammy have given the mic back to comedians. Trevor’s journey in the USA began 5 years ago when he was chosen to be the host of The Daily Show. The Comedian has stolen hearts across the globe and has become a favourite world wide. Clearly 2020 has proven to be a great year for Trevor as he also graced the cover of international men’s magazine, GQ.
