Early Life and Education
Tipcee grew up in Mlazi, a joyful town known for parties and celebrations. She went to Clarence Primary School and proceeded to Ridge Park College. As a result of growing in a party town, Tipcee was inspired to sing and dance. From competing in school competitions, Tipcee went ahead to join dance groups.
What did Tipcee do before the fame?
Tipcee struggled to get where she currently is, without Dj Tira, she claims she could not have made it this far. After finishing college, she formed a dance group with friends and became promo girls an alcohol brand. In 2009, she joined an all-female Kwaito group called Chaos which was under the record label 745. During her time as a Chaos group member, the group collaborated with top DJs. These include with renowned artists in the country Big Nuz, DJ Tira and Dj Bongz. Chaos released an unsuccessful album titled Ziyasha. However, Tipcee as a freestyler and energetic dance stood out among her partners. Consequently, Dj Gukwa noticed her talent and introduced her to Dj Tira. Later in 2017, she featured on the hit “Amadada”, by Dj Gukwa, and she also featured on Dj Tira’s s track smash hit Malume. Thereafter, she was signed to Afrotainment.
