Ti Gonzi dragged to court for assaulting ex-wife
Zimbabwe famous rapper Ti Gonzi was taken to court over the weekend. It was reported that the hip hop artist assaulted his ex-wife. However, the matter was withdrawn before plea.
Ti Gonzi was not asked to plead when he appeared in court. His ex-wife Esther Tendere took to the witness stand and told the court that she wanted to withdraw the matter before plea. She says the reasons behind her withdrawal are because Ti Gonzi maintains the upkeep of their son and he has a head injury that needs constant check-ups and he has since apologised.
According to the police, on the 25th of March 2021, Ti Gonzi met his ex-wife at Avondale shops to discuss the welfare of their child. During the discussion Ti Gonzi asked Esther Tendere is always insulting him over the phone.
Ti Gonzi then assaulted her with fists on her face. According to HMetro Ti Gonzi threw the pliers he was holding and it hit Esther on her right thigh and injured her. Natalie Musins and a well wisher rescued Esther from the angry Ti Gonzi.

Ti Gonzi is a multi award winning Zim Hip Hop artist based in Harare. He has won some local awards for his music. Some of his popular tracks include Hurombo and Zvenyu. Ti Gonzi is very efficient when he features other artists as well. Some of his best collaborations are Kure featuring Ishan and Ginde.
In 2019 Ti Gonzi was attacked by some robbers and suffered a head injury. The assailants lured him into a taxi and attacked him. They left him for dead and for some time Ti Gonzi was in hospital battling for life. Ti Gonzi inspires a lot of youths in Zimbabwe. His realness and confidence has a lot admiring his style of rapping.
