Themba Ndaba is one of South Africa’s most celebrated actors and plays Uncle Brutus on 1Magic Mzansi hit telenovela The Queen.
Ndaba is South African’s most celebrated on-screen Uncle. Ndaba who has made a mark with his stellar performances as Uncle Brutus is set to be written off from the Fergusons’ production telenovela The Queen.
Celebrated star actor and the Fergusons longtime friend Themba Ndaba is one of the latest victims of the Queens being shown the exit door.
The seasoned actor is best known for his AMAA and SAFTA award-winning performance in the Hopeville Limited Series and Movie as well as his casting in the movie Machine Gun Preacher (2011). Ndaba came into the limelight when he starred in Soul City and Hopeville.
Rumour has it that The Queen’s Brutus shocking exit comes in the backdrop of a series of complaints of sexual harassment by other female cast members.
Renowned entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela breaks the news but could not drop names. He writes,
“WORD IS: The Queen to drop actor. The murmur is that Mzansi Magic telenovela will be writing (or has written) an actor out of the show following some inappropriate advances on his colleagues. This is a welcomed & encouraging step taken by Ferguson Films. Change the culture!”
The controversial tweet leaves Mzansi divided as many couldn’t connect the dots. Fans of the Mzansi Magic hit soapie started speculating over who the unnamed character is.

With The Queen cast full of controversial characters many thought of the troublesome SK Khoza who plays Shaka on the show.
Sources close to the Ferguson have revealed the fallout between them and Ndaba. Savannanews has also confirmed that Themba Ndaba is set to be written off from the show.
The actor had been a fan favourite since The Queen’s premiere back in August 2016. As his escapades got wider, his tongue sharper and his wit even quicker, Mzansi had found themselves that typical family uncle through his character.
But alas! Word says he also has a bad side that he had not revealed to the public. Sexual harassment is a serious offence, something that couldn’t be taken lightly especially in the entertainment industry.
The Fergusons who have always been attacked over supporting stars with such controversial records have finally given in and let go of Themba Ndaba.
However, in recent years the Fergusons are well known for dismissing characters. Word of the street has it that Ndaba’s exit comes after the two parties failed to strike an agreement when it comes salaries. The seasoned actor is said to be the one on the forefront of increment in remunerations.
Many actors have attacked the Mzansi power couple over their gross mistreatment of actors. Is this the same case again with Ndaba?
