A year ago, the telenovela made all sorts of headlines when Mzansi Magic confirmed that it was axing the show after seven years. It was renewed for a shortened seventh season. Instead of the normal 260-episode slot season, seven has 125 episodes instead of usual. It’s wrapping up its season, and its last episode is slated for 13 January 2023.
In the wake of its cancellation, several star actors have already dumped the drama series in the eleventh hour. Jili happens to be one of the several actors who have parted ways with the Mzansi Magic’s drama series. Not so long ago, Jessica Nkosi, who played Thando Sebata, Rapulana, who played Hector Sebata, and Nomsa Buthelezi, who played MaJali Khoza, all kissed goodbye to their on-screen character.
In the mix of things, Mzansi is more than convinced that fan-favourite actress Zandile Msutwana, who played Detective Vuyiswa Maake, has also exited the show. However, this comes after he hasn’t made an appearance since the beginning of season seven.
