The Jiaozuo Intermediate People’s Court in Henan province made the ruling on Monday and described Wang Yun’s motives as despicable while punishing her according to the law
The story was narrated as follows: Wang had an argument with another teacher at the same Jiaozuo school on how best to teach and handle children.
Sometime in the morning on 27 March in 2019, Wang mixed the other teacher’s kids’ porridge with nitrate having bought it online. The children started vomiting a few minutes after taking the porridge and one child died from the poisoning.
In 2017, Wang was previously caught trying to kill her husband Feng by poisoning him with nitrate after an argument.
She poured the nitrate into her husband’s glass but he escaped with minor injuries
One parent told state-run publication Global Times that he received a call from the kindergarten that his child vomited and by the time she got arrived his child was unconscious.
“The vomit was all over (their) pants. There were other children who were also throwing up, and they looked pale,” the father Li, said.
Mistreatment of children at kindergartens in northern China is not new as parents of kids attending Zhaojun Dingqi Kindergarten in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, found their kids with piercing marks all over their bodies.
Eight parents reported that they found piercing wounds on their children’s heads and body according to
state media.
The children told their parents that they had been pierced by toothpicks and red needles for misbehaving in class and were threatened not to disclose to their parents.
