Steak Pie
This is a really easy and quick recipe. Low cost ingredients, delicious, light crispy pie. For one thing, it is cheaper to make your own pie, you know exactly what ingredients you are putting into your pie and the flavors and textures are likely like no shop pie.

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour all purpose
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup butter
- 4 tsp cold water
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 clove garlic chopped
- 1 1/2 carrots and cheese chopped
- 2 cups ground beef
- 1/4 tsp ground all spice
- 1 large egg lightly whisked
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
- Crumble the ground beef into a large saucepan. Add the garlic, onions, water, all ground spices and salt to season. Cook over medium heat , stirring to crumble the meat and mix until the meat is evenly browned.
- Place the pie crust into a pie plate. Fill with the meat mixture, then put the other pie crust on top.
- Use a sharp knife to prick the top to allow steam to escape during cooking.
- Lightly brush top with whisked egg. Reduce oven to 190 degrees an bake for about 25 to 30 minutes until the crust has browned.
- Serve immediately
Notes
If necessary, shield areas of the pie top and edges browning faster than others with pieces of foil
