Proving their unmatched flair, they are thriving in the American Entertainment industry. Here are some of Mzansi’s famous that are taking the world by storm.
Nomzamo Mbatha
Gracing our screens on Isibaya for a while, the actress decides to quit the show. Taking a risky move, she starts over in America, taking as many auditions as she could. After a fruitless endeavor, Mbatha decides to go back home. It is when she is about to throw in the towel that she gets a call back. The actress lands her first American role on Coming 2 America, rubbing shoulders with the world’s finest. Speaking on her journey, she has this to say.

“I think it’s such an interesting time for me right now, just because I have no idea what to expect from this new chapter. I’m staying open to it, I’m doing the work,” she says.
For the very longest time, I’ve never been one to celebrate anything in my life. Even on my birthday, I’d be like, ‘don’t call me, don’t make a big deal out of it.’ But I think, now that the time is coming and the date is nearer by the second, the excitement of waiting for people to see the film just grows on you,” Mbatha adds.
Trevor Noah
Relocating to the States in 2011, he becomes the first South African comedian to feature on The Tonight Show. He goes on to join the Late Show with David Letterman the subsequent year.
Another opportunity falls onto his lap and he stars on the comedy show Trevor Noah: The Racist. After bagging smaller roles, Noah finally lands a gig on the Daily Show in 2015. His flair continues to make him soar and even the Americans are not immune to his sense of humour.
