South African music has been thrust to the limelight with Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode world hit song Jerusalema which has taken the world by surprise. The Jerusalema drama is not over yet. Idols SA judge Somizi has weighed in with his two cents and many seem to be in agreement with him.
Somizi has added his two cents to the public debate about Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode. Some have felt that Nomcebo Zikode does not get enough credit for her role in the hit song. The media personality is on the opposite end of the argument and believes that the song belongs to Master KG.
Somizi decided to add his opinion on the recent talks about Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode getting equal attention for the Jerusalema song. The South Africa Idol judge blasted out how people were trying to take away Master KG’s success.
According to Somizi, the song belongs to Master KG and he deserves full credit for his work. The Idols SA judge said that Nomcebo is a credited vocalist on the song and was chosen by Master KG. He went on to explain that it was Master KG who made the beat and therefore it was his song.
Somizi said that if people wanted to fight for vocalists then they should have said something about it before the Jerusalema fame. He made an example of a famous Arthur Mafokate song which featured a vocalist who nobody knows. Somizi also mentioned other house songs that include vocalists who are not credited.
In the video posted on Instagram, Somizi congratulated Master KG for the amazing success and said that it was God’s will to take him from nothing to something huge.
