Sinopharm most unreliable vaccine with 73 side effects: Chinese Vaccine Expert
A Shanghai based vaccine expert Tao Lina condemns Sinopharm vaccine labelling it the most unsafe vaccine because of its 73 severe side effects. Yesterday Zimbabwe received its first consignment of the vaccine donated from China. The President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa added that 600 000 more doses of Sinopharm will arrive in March.
With the vaccination process expected to start next week in Zimbabwe, it is unfortunate that a Chinese expert has uploaded a report with Sinopharm’s instruction manual which is quite terrifying.
“I took in a long cold breath and counted the conditions listed in the adverse reactions column and found 73 systemic adverse reactions associated with the vaccine. In addition to to pain in the injection site and headache, there are other severe effects such as high blood pressure, loss of vision, loss of taste, delayed menstruation and urinary incontinence.”
“No inactivated vaccine has more types of adverse reactions than this product. We have often joked with other doctors describing this manual as one long disclaimer. However, as long as side effects are written in the manual, recipients are not entitled to compensation if they occur,” Tao Lin said.

After publishing the report, Tao Lin’s page was deleted by authorities. This is worrisome because in Zimbabwe the vaccination process is about to start. Since the authorities will be in charge of the exercise will the public have a look at the effects of the vaccine before talking the shots?
Other people in Zimbabwe think that China is using Zimbabweans as lab rats and the vaccine need to be thoroughly tested before administering it to the health workers. On another positive note, a study carried out by researchers from Sinopharm shows that the vaccine triggers immunity against the South African variant but it is weaker that against the first wave of COVID-19.
