This actress is taking over the entertainment by storm. She has had fans hooked on her talent and good looks since appearing on the etv drama series House of Zwide. Shoki from House of Zwide is set to release her first single.
Since she was eight years old, the young actress has always known that she wanted to be in the acting industry. She enrolled at the University of Witwatersrand, where she pursued a degree in Film and Television. She made a debut on our Television screens with a role in two short films called Making a killing and A cup of sugar.
In 2021 Shalate landed her most significant role on Television as part of the cast of House of Zwide. In this etv drama series, she plays the role of Shoki. This is a young girl from the township who lives with her big sister and brother. They struggle to make ends meet at the beginning of the series, and Shoki then uses unethical reasons to try and make money to help out at home with the bills.

She steals from her best friend’s workplace but gets caught and confesses. This makes the two friends grow apart. However, she had met the son of the fashion house owner she had stolen from in the process, and the two fell in love. Their relationship’s biggest hindrance was the boy’s mother, who became her late mother’s friend. Despite all those slips ups she ended up mending fences with her best friend. She also gained the blessing of her boyfriend’s father.
In the wake of things, the actress has announced that she is releasing her first single called Trust on 3 December. The actress is still new in the acting industry, with House of Zwide being the first series that she has been cast in. Now she is introducing us to her sound in the same year.
