Vuyo Dabula is a South African actor who plays the role of Gadaffi, also known as Kumkani Phakade in the SABC 1 soapie, Generations The Legacy. Vuyo Dabula is a seasoned actor who has taken command of his role as Gadaffi in the soapie and drawn a lot of fans for it! His salary is reflective of his role that has over the years become one of the Generations’ leading roles. Vuyo Dabula‘s salary on Generations is between R80 000 and R95 000 per month.
Apparently, this is the general average for Generations: The Legacy seasoned actors. Other actors in the same pay bracket on the soapie are Manaka Ranaka who plays Lucy Diale and Letoya Makhene who plays Tshidi Moroka.
Rapulana Seiphemo who played Tau on the soapie was also in the same pay bracket until he decided he decided to leave the soapie to join the Fergusons in The Queen.
On the lower end of the spectrum are the less seasoned actors like Junior Singo who plays the role of Mpho in the SABC soapie. Mpho earns R35 000 per month.
Musa Ngema who plays the role of Mazwi Moroka takes home R45 000 per month. It is rumored that Generations The Legacy is one of South Africa’s highest paying soapies.
Vuyo Dabula was reported to be leaving the soapie to pursue his role in the now-canceled Netflix movie, Queen Sono. However, rumor has it the 44-year-old actor is here to stay and Gadaffi fans can sit, relax and enjoy!
Whether the decision to stay was influenced by the cancelation of Queen Sono is a conversation for another day. The soapie was not renewed for another season following issues surrounding costing. The actor is also starring in the MNet Box office showstopper, Shaft 6 movie which premiered in November.
