Durban Gen actor Thokozisa Ziqubu ‘Dr Bhengu’s salary shocks Mzansi.
Dr Lethuxolo Bhengu has had a rough couple of weeks because of his wandering eye, which has gotten him in big trouble. The doctor, who has been known to be a ladies’ man, found himself in a stiçk situation as two of the ladies he is dating are related. Bhengu had an unfortunate encounter where he met the two sisters, Beauty and Buhle, on separate occasions and asked them out.
After one of them invited him to the Shisanyama to meet her sister, that’s when Bhengu spotted them from afar and realized that they were both his girlfriends. After that, he began dodging them and making up excuses for not making it to the dates he had promised. However, Beauty was involved in a car accident that got her admitted to Durban General hospital. Her sister and father came to visit her, and Bhengu was almost caught on two separate occasions, but he sneaked away always.
When Beauty gets discharged, her sister comes to fetch her, and while waiting for the car in the parking lot, they both spot Bhengu. After calling him and having him run away, they realized they were being played by the same men and went on a mission to hunt him down and cause chaos for him. The two poison the food at the men’s conference in a bid to get revenge.
Thokozisa Ziqubu’s salary at Durban Gen stuns Mzansi
Thokozisa Ziqubu, who plays Dr Bhengu, is an actor who joined the drama series when the second season started. He is a first-year intern at the hospital who loves the ladies but also has personal family problems of his own, being the breadwinner at home. His role in the drama series is a lead role, and he is fairly compensated for it, raising the issue of his salary.
Given that his role is a leading role, Thokozisa Ziqubu takes home a net salary that ranges from R40 000 to R45 000. This total, however, depends on the number of scenes and episodes he is featured in and his experience in the industry. The actor did not start as an actor when he finished school. Landing a job was hard, and he had to drive taxis before getting his big break. The role on Durban Gen is his debut role, and many are coming his way, given the talent he has shown.
