Mamelodi Sundowns players have been accused of using witchcraft yet again, as a Twitter user posted “evidence“ of alleged “muti“ being used. But is there any truth to these claims, or is it simply a false rumour?

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS ON A WINNING STREAK

On Tuesday, 14th March, Mamelodi Sundowns achieved a remarkable victory when they triumphed 5–1 against Royal AM at Loftus in the DStv Premiership match. The team, fondly referred to as the Brazilians, have now set a new PSL record by winning 11 consecutive home games in the league. The opponents were owned by Shauwn Mkhize, who is also known as MaMkhize.

In a post-match media briefing, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena praised the players for their work ethic and positive attitude.

He said: “I just see incredibly gifted football players…They show that if you put your profession first and the football club first because this is what they do every day. I have never seen human beings like this.”

He added: “They don’t have issues, they love each other, they live with everybody, and if you put a youngster, then they’ll accommodate. They don’t look down on people, and they don’t have gripes, and that’s why God blesses them like this.”

Meanwhile, one Twitter user shared “evidence” of what they allege was muti, used by Mamelodi Sundowns players.

“It makes sense now why Sundown’s always win they are using witchcraft,” the tweep posted.
