Zama from Isibaya, real name Linda Mtoba, celebrated her thirtieth birthday yesterday at Houghton Hotel. The Umlazi born actress enjoyed her day in the company of family and friends. She is now playing Nomonde on The River.
She is living the dream life of celebrities. Who would have known the former primary school teacher would host such a colourful birthday at only 30 years of age. She has worked hard for the good things in life, and she deserves to be happy.
Dubbed ‘The last supper’, Zama, known for her Isibaya role, shared many pictures from the dinner she had in Johannesburg.

A look at Linda Mtoba’s personal life and acting career
Born and raised in Kwazulu Natal’s city Durban, Linda lost her father when she was just 13 and had to live the rest of her adolescence with her aunt.
She became Mrs Meyer in 2017 when she married long time sweetheart Steve Meyer.
Linda was a teacher while also trying to shift to a marketing professional when her breakthrough in acting came.
She was studying towards a qualification in the field when she successfully auditioned to be part of the Isibaya cast. She dropped out of college to focus her attention on acting.
Before Isibaya ended, Linda played Zama Ngwenya, a daughter to a feared tax boss Judas Ngwenya played by the late legendary actor Menzi Ngubane. Her mother in the soapie was Beauty Ngwenya, played by Thuli Thabethe.
The glowing actress secured her second gig on the small screen as she played Nomonde on 1Magic’s best-selling telenovela The River in 2018.
Linda doubles as an influencer and brand promoter. She is contracted to Vaseline, among other brands. She also promoted Huggies, a baby care company, since she became a mother after giving birth to baby Bean.
