Brenda Mhlongo is clearly a master of her craft as she is flawlessly executing a role that is a far cry from her off screen personality. To those who know her as KaMadonsela on Imbewu, the actress is quite fetching in reality. Her Instagram posts are picture perfect and her fashion sense always leaves fans drooling.
Speaking on her role on Imbewu, the 40 year old actress had this to say:
“I love to be challenged with any role I have to play. She’s umam’umfundisi (Pastor’s wife), which is someone who would have completely different qualities to who I am in real life. To have the chance to experience that contrast and bring the character to life how I see fit has been quite the experience,” says Mhlongo.

Mhlongo is recast as Priscilla “KaMadonsela” Bhengu following Fundiswa Zwane‘s exit. The later engages in a brawl with the production team over wage increases to which she is canned. Imbewu get skeptical when Brenda makes her debut on her show with some suggesting that Gugu Gumede takes the role instead.
It seems however that Mhlongo‘s character is rubbing off on Imbewu fans and she is managing to keep them on the edges of their seats. The decorated actress commences her acting journey at the age of 16. Her flair lands her a role on The Lion King as she plays Rafiki and she tours North America for a little over five years. As she is multitalented, Brenda also tries her magic in the music panorama. Her celestial voice takes her places as she has stage performances in Hong Kong, Germany and North America.
The actress’ amazing sense of fashion is rubbing off on her daughter Snikiwe the Youtuber. Snikiwe who is a striking resemblance of her mother is definitely following in Brenda’s footsteps. Snikiwe is a youtuber and actress and she adores her mother. Although she is her mom’s BFF she avoids talking about boys. Just out of respect of course.
