She has been making all sorts of headlines of late. Rumour mill has it that Unathi Nkayi might not return for Idols SA season 18.
However, of interest is that Somizi is heading back to Idols SA. A few weeks ago, she was shown the exit door by Kaya FM after her brawl with Sizwe Dlomo. In the wake of his exit after being accused of abuse by his estranged husband, the show declined in numbers. No official statement has been issued regarding her future on Idols SA.
In the mix of things, Mzansi has been wondering what’s next for Unathi Nkayi. Well, it seems as if the bubbly TV personality is a jack of all trades and a master of all.

Apart from being on Idols SA, Unathi is a celebrated journalist who has been making tremendous strides in the cooperate world. She holds a degree in Journalism from Rhodes University. She also holds a degree in International Media Studies at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.

Career
She has been one of the longest-serving judges on Idols SA. Her thrust into the limelight came in the backdrop of Idols SA gig in 2011. She bags a gig in Castle Loud aired on SABC 1.
However, in the mix of things, she later became the co-producer of the show, and this opened a door for her when it comes to production and broadcasting. She joined YFM 2004 – 2020, Pop Stars, Metro FM 2014 – 2017 and Kaya FM 2020.
Business Empire, which she has been focusing on
She has a booming business empire and is one of the major shareholders of Lucky Bean. The production company main interest is in film productions.
She is an acclaimed writer and has published like I keep Learning. Just like those before her, she also doubles as a brand ambassador. She has partnered with several clothing line brands as well as cosmetics lines. They have managed to produce celebrated shows such as MasterChef SA, Survivor and Girl Eat World in recent years.
