Kaya 959 FM radio’s Sizwe Dhlomo has released an audio of her altercation with radio and TV personality Unathi Nkayi. The two have been at loggerheads after Unathi was fired for falsely accusing Sizwe Dhlomo of abuse.
Sizwe claims to have walked into the studio six minutes after the program had started and exchanged a few harsh words with Unathi. The audio, leaked to the public to prove his innocence, has not been received well as they believe the pair were both wrong. Sizwe calms not to insult Unathi in the audio, but Tweeps believe his words were polite.
Sizwe publishes emails with his manager about Unathi
In a bid to clear his name after Unathi claimed his firing had nothing to do with Gender-Based Violence. Sizwe also published the emails interactions he had with his manager.
In one of the emails, Unathi sent Bheki an email claiming Sizwe was ‘extremely’ aggressive towards her after she pointed out that he is always late to his shows, Kaya Drive with Sizwe. Sizwe responded to Bheki’s email and advised him to get a recording of the incident from the Information Technology department as they always keep the microphones on, and all the activities in the studio are recorded.
Sizwe leaks audio of altercation with Unathi
Unathi is heard accusing Sizwe of always being late for his shows and eating up her time in the audio. While every word recorded in the clip cannot be heard clearly, their conversation was far from being normal as they both raised their voices.
The fight between the two radio personalities is far from over. Sizwe indicated he might pursue the legal route as the ‘false’ claims of abuse could have caused irreparable harm to his career. Meanwhile, social commentator and poet Ntsiki Mazwai castigated Mzansi Magic for contracting Unathi to host season two of The Festive Get Together in The Life Artois on Mzansi Magic after she was fired for lying about Gender-Based Violence.
