The premier of Kings of Joburg Season 2 has been making headlines lately. Connie Ferguson released the teasers of the Netflix drama series on 11 January. With under a week left until the much-anticipated second season of Kings of Joburg, Netflix recently hosted a star-studded premiere in Sandton, North of Joburg.

Celebrities got the memo right and brought their A-game to the red carpet. No doubt, it is always resplendency and tantalizing when Mzansi celebrities get a chance to show off their fantastic fashion sense. Comedian Mpho Popps and television presenter Lootlove were the hosts on the day, and they did justice to their tasks.

Connie Ferguson has dedicated Kings of Joburg to her late husband, Shona Ferguson, who died in 2021 due to Covid 19.

“Tik… Tok… We’re almost there. With the sudden and suspicious disappearance of the King of Joburg Simon Masire, the family struggles to adapt to a new king and new enemies in the City of Gold. Heavy is the crown, but it’s time to take back the city. Kings of Joburg season 2 coming on January 27, only on Netflix.

“In memory of the most amazing human being I have known, the King of Joburg Shona Ferguson, aka Mr Sho, aka Uncle Sho. This is for you, my love. Hope you’re proud.”
