Dupped as one of the richest celebrities in South Africa, Shauwn Mkhize has the bling and the plug too. In recent years she has managed to wow Mzansi with her soft life, from travelling across the globe to wearing designer clothes.
Well of interest has been her million rand mansion located in KwaZulu-Natal. However, the rumour mill has it that the mansion, valued at R35 million, was owned by Sbu Mpisane, who happens to be Shauwn Mkhize’s ex-husband, but after divorce, Shauwn was given the property.
Well, let’s dive into the R35 million-rand mansion. It might be valued at three million, but the assets housed in the mansion can cost close to a billion rand, from exported furniture to exotic cars. The mansion is dupped as Lucia and is located in the upscale suburbs of Durban KwaZulu-Natal. The estate looks like a palace from a bird’s view, and its scenery makes it look stunning.

In 2007 rumour mill has it that Sbu and Shauwn bought their first adjacent property for a whopping R2.5 million. However, they turned the purchased property into a showroom for their fleet of exotic cars.
Unconfirmed reports have it that at some point, the showroom housed 60 sleek cars that included the world’s finest rides like Rolls Royce, Maserati, Porche Turbo and Aston Martin.
In 2014 they made yet another big purchase of land. They bought a 1611 square meters plot of land again adjacent to their house and cooperated it into their mansions plan. Reports have it that they demolished the whole structure so that they could build a 2-million entertainment pad for their son Andile.
Exteriors, interiors and swimming pools
The house is painted in clean white and has beautiful scenery. It has been dupped as the famous glass house of Durban due to its architectural design.
The mansion has grand marble staircases with glass railings, and several hanging chandeliers complement them. It has elegant lampshades and plush carpets. It has several multiple swimming pools from indoors to outdoors.
The house was bought in the early 2000s for an undisclosed fee by Sbu Mpisane, and they had to renovate a touch of class to it. In 2008 the house was valued at R18 million, and in 2017, it had gained value and R25 million. However, it is rumoured to be valued at around R35 million years later.
Apart from the famous La Lucia, she owns several estates across Mzansi. She also has a lavish mansion in Sandton, Johanessburg, valued at around R20 million.
