Happy birthday Mama Ka Thando, many happy returns 🎉🎉

A post shared by Walter Mokoena (@waltermokoena) on

Pearl was at university when she found out that she was pregnant with Walter Mokoena’s baby. She says that she ended up having to choose between being pregnant and school resulting in her dropping out. But their relationship was rather tumultuous so they never got to be a happy family.

Pearl was engaged to Robert Marawa in 2017 but they also broke up. She revealed in a TouchDown  podcast in 2018 that she struggles to find love in Mzansi. This is because of her A list status and how that may affect the reasons why the other person may get into a relationship with her. This echoes that it is rather lonely at the top especially when it makes it difficult to find love.

However there is speculation that she may be involved with NBA star, Serge Ibaka. They have been spotted together quite a bit overseas.

Pearl Thusi Child, Daughter, Adoption

Okuhle is not Pearl’s biological daughter however, one could not tell. Pearl, the self-proclaimed Mama Pantha is more than happy to be a mother of 2. She says that one-day Okuhle will tell her story but until then she and her daughters will enjoy their family life. She is a very private person and intends to protect her children from media scrutiny for as long as she can.

Recent News

Pearl is currently working on her writing skills. She is working on a book detailing her life and her challenges as a young mother. Despite her hardships, she wants to serve as an inspiration to young women out there to keep at it and never give.

Controversy

Pearl Thusi’s heritage is a touchy topic for her. Despite her look, she is adamant that she just happens to be a light skinned Zulu girl with black parents. However most people tend to be a tad bit skeptical because from her hair to her skin tone one could easily place her as colored. It doesn’t help that in her roles in American movies she easily blends in well with the more light skin folk. I mean look at her! Light skinned Zulu girl or Colored, anyone?

A very body positive hot mama, Pearl was the stuff of controversy with her Marie Claire naked shoot in 2015. The stuff of, well let’s just say a lot of men and women were rather bashful when they saw the pictures, she caused quite a stir on Twitter.

She had an interview for the shoot and she was very open about it saying she was very excited, very happy, very ready and very prepared for it.
