Panyaza Lesufi exposed to Covid-19, goes into self-isolation
The Gauteng Dept. of Education has confirmed that MEC Panyaza Lesufi is in self-isolation after he was exposed to Coronavirus.
This comes after two employees based at the Head Office tested positive for Covid-19.
MEC Lesufi conducted a test and went to self-isolation, he is currently awaiting for his results.
Gauteng Health MEC, Dr Bandile Masuku says once Lesufi’s results have been released they will be announced publicly.

Dr Bandile Masuku reveals that some officials at the Gauteng disaster command centre tested positive for Covid-19 after showing mild symptoms of the virus and are in self-isolation.
The command center was decontaminated hence cleared to hold a media briefing on Friday.
Update: Panyaza Lesufi has tested negative for Covid-19
Gauteng MEC Panyaza Lesufi has tested negative for Covid-19, the Gauteng Department of Education announced on Saturday.
Lesufi tested for the virus on Tuesday and went into self-isolation after two staff members from the department’s offices in Johannesburg tested positive for Covid-19.
