Nurse strips off PPE to have sex with Covid-19 patient
In a shocking incident, a male nurse in Indonesia stripped off his PPE to have sex with a male patient hospitalised with Covid-19.
The story reported by Indonesia Expat was confirmed by the National Nurses Association in the country.
“It is true that there has been a suspected incident of a same-sex relationship between a health worker and a COVID-19 patient at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital,” said Asep Gunawan of the National Nurses Association.
The accused nurse must follow legal proceedings according to the nurses’ body.
The incident was not first discovered by the hospital but came to light after the ‘victim’ boasted about the romp on his Twitter account, sharing pictures of the abandoned PPE, intimate details about the lubricants they used, and the size of their genitals.
He also uploaded the screenshots of the Whatsapp messages they exchanged before the incident.
The patient went on to share a picture of the nurse lying down as they were to be involved in the act.
“This case has been transferred to the Central Jakarta Police. We have secured the health worker to become a witness and asked for further information,” said Lt. Col. Arh Herwin of the Regional Military Command.
“Meanwhile, the patient continues to undergo isolation at the Athlete’s House,” he added, referring to a former Olympic athletes accommodation village that was transformed into a Covid-19 isolation and treatment centre.
The pair took further Covid-19 tests and luckily the nurse tested negative and the patient tested positive again.
The man faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison if convicted for a sexual offense.
