KwaMamMkhize took our screens by a storm last year as season 1 charmed the socks off everyone. Shauwn Mkhize, also known as MamMkhize fast became one of Mzansi’s favourite reality stars. Unfortunately MamMkhize fans will be sad to realize that KwaMamMkhize won’t be returning for season 2.
In an interview with Drum, MamMkhize made it clear that that was the end of the road for KwaMamkhize.
“I feel I have achieved what I had set out to do on season 10 want to keep season 1 as my Legacy. It was an inspirational show to build my brand and reputation and I am very happy. I did not expect that people fall in love with Mamkhize but they did and it’s time to let go there’s no need for season 2. I was trying something new and I have achieved that goal making season 2 would not make sense,” she said
No season 2 for KwaMamMkhize, MamMKhize reveals why
KwaMamMkhize premiered early last year on Mzansi Magic, showcasing the lavish lifestyle of Shauwn Mkhize and her children, Sbahle and Andile. The show was a fast favourite, reaching 1.7 million views. Unfortunately KwamMamkhize won’t see the light of season 2.
The show won best reality TV show at the 4th Annual Hollywood African Prestigious Awards beating the likes of 90 Day Fiancè, Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Naija Hood.
“It’s hard to believe that a show that was predominantly in isiZulu would get this much international recognition. We are so excited, my family and I would like to thank all the viewers and fans for watching and supporting the show. Being welcomed in the industry has been nothing short of amazing, ” MamMkhize said in her acceptance speech.
However, MamMKhize fans still get their dose of the reality star. MamMkhize joined SABC 1 soapie, Uzalo in a cameo role. She took to Instagram to celebrate her new role.
Thought of the day: “stepping out of your comfort zone to try something new takes a lot of courage. You’ll never know if you’re meant to do something unless you try it. Life is too short to let people discourage you from experiencing all that life has to offer. I’m so grateful for my Uzalo experience – it taught me a lot and challenged me in a good way
Wishing you all a fabulous day ahead, we’ll meet again tonight at 8:30 on SABC1…it’s a date!🥰❤️✨💪🏾💋🌺
