The Idols judge and media personality, Somizi Mhlongo goes head to head with the former Top Billing presenter Lorna Maseko in a battle for Mzansi Top celebrity chef.
The newbie in culinary Somizi showed that he is a force to be reckoned with through his hit Dstv exclusive show Dinner at Somizi’s. However, he is no longer impressed with just obtaining views and a few Instagram likes on his food posts, he is now eyeing the top spot which is Mzansi’s Top Celebrity chef won by Lorna Maseko In April 2020 at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
The beautiful former Top Billing presenter Lorna Maseko launched her cookbook on 16 September 2019 titled Celebrate with Lorna Maseko and selling at major booklet outlets for R368. The cookbook won two international awards in early April 2020 as the TV hostess snatched the Best Celebrity Chef award and the Best International Cookbook award from Gourmand World Cookbooks.
It is no secret that Somizi’s show is genius clout chasing technique to mark his territory as Mzansi Top Celebrity Chef by featuring relevant weekly celebrities such as Cassper Nyovest, Dj Zinhle, Pearl Thusi, Zahara, Khanyi Mbau, Rami Chuene, Lerato Kganyago and several others.
