Miss Pru’s academic qualifications made headlines and left fans shocked. Despite being one of the finest DJs in the country, she is also known for being one of the most learned female DJs in the country. She is the first female DJ to win the South Africa Music Award for the Best Music Video category at the 23rd Annual SAMAs.

The award-winning DJ is a qualified Somatologist from the University of Johannesburg. She also did a course in Radio Communications at On Cue Communications. In furthering her development as a DJ, she trained and qualified after months of studying at the Fuse Academy.
She did her elementary and secondary education in Gauteng, where she spent her early years. But her higher education is what shocked Mzansi.
Miss Pru’s career and businesses empire
She was born Prudence Sebalo in Gauteng. Since childhood, she has loved music though she did not have the best voice compared to her friends. Prudence’s good songwriting skills made her fall in love with music production. The 36-year-old signed for Ambitiouz Entertainment in 2015 and introduced herself into the music industry when she dropped hit-song Welele.
Her association with DJ Zinhle propelled her brand appeal. The pair co-hosted the radio show House Of She on TransAfrica Radio. Since then, Miss Pru started to perform at select shows such as the South African Music Conference. She became a top celebrity and won several awards. She associates with other leading musicians like Emtee, Fifi Cooper and A-Reece.
With her knowledge of beauty products from her academic background, Miss Pru launched Sedima Shea Butter body products. The brand is growing and she looks forward to a great future as an entrepreneur and DJ.
