Mlungisi Ngema set for Scandal’s exit after securing a new gig
Of late Scandal has become a household name when it comes to soapies, the etvs hit soapie has wowed Mzansi for years and has managed to produce fine actors. Rumour has it that seasoned actor Patrick Mofokeng who plays Mlungisi Ngema might be exiting the drama series after bagging a role on the new 1Magic telenovela Lingashoni.
Scandal has witnessed a mass exodus of seasoned actors of late, Cindy Mahlangu who played Violetta was the latest actor to exit the show. Rumour has it that she exited the show in a wake of a new gig and so that she can also focus on her Siyanda character on The Queen.
Late last year Scandal was dealt with a big blow after its three leading actors called it quits. Hungani Ndlovu who played Romeo Medupe, Masasa who played Thembeka Nyathi and Nkunzi all deserted the show under unknown circumstances.
Now given the fact that Patrick Mofokeng has landed a new lead role rumour has it that he is set to leave the show to focus on his new gig.

Veteran actor Patrick Mofokeng will star alongside Thuli Thabethe and Thato Molamu on the new telenovela. Mofokeng will be the firebrand of the telenovela and he will star as Mandla Cele.
Mandla escapes death by a whisker after he survives a hit after he witnesses the murder of the town Mayor. After cheating death, Mandla finds himself with a memory loss problem that made him forget all that he had in his memory bank. He was later found by Seipati who toiled in the nearby farms the two later tied knot.
After a decade of loss of memory, the latter finally regains his memory and turned everything around. Fortune favours the bold and that was the case of Mandla who is a typical example of rags to riches testimony. Let’s all wait and see as the drama unfolds.
However, on Scandal Mofokeng plays the character of Mr Ngema. Ngema is a soft-spoken character who wants the best for his family. For now, we are yet to hear if it’s true but from the look of things, the veteran actor is exiting the show. His absence of late has even fueled the speculation that he will be bowing down to his Ngema character of years so as to take a new role.
