“Miss you already”: Gomora actress Zodwa sends Don a touching message
Actress Sannah Mchunu who plays the role of Zodwa on Gomora has sent a tribute message to departing cast member Isreal Matseke Zulu who played the role of Don on the Mzansi Magic drama series.
On Gomora, Don was married to Zodwa before leaving her for a wealthy woman who lived in the leafy suburbs of Sandton. Don’s life turned south when the rich woman died; Don got homeless and turned to Zodwa for a roof on top of his head. Accompanied by his daughter Sibongile, Don was welcomed in Zodwa’s household, where he met Teddy, his son he left at a tender age.
To help him get back on his feet, Bongani, Zodwa’s boyfriend, gave Don a job at his Shisanyama. Greedy Don joined and took over a car hijacking syndicate that operated in Gomora. Over the storyline, despite all the bad and hurtful things Don did, Zodwa had always supported and forgave him.
Israel’s Gomora exit saw his Don character shot dead by loved one Zodwa after kidnapping and threatening to kill Ntokozo – the role played by Ntobeko Sishi.

Posting his images on Instagram, Sannah Mchunu revealed that they already miss Don on Gomora.

Gomora producers revealed that Israel Matseke Zulu wasn’t fired, but his storyline ended on-screen; however, he returns to work off screens. Off-screen, he was involved with Gomora since its inception as a location scout. Born and bred in Alexandra, Gomora, where the drama series is being shot, his relationship with show producers saw Israel Matseke Zulu bag the location scout role.
