The Moroka’s have had it rough these past few months on Generations. Mazwi a character played by Musa Ngema got into an arranged marriage with Sphesihle (Pearl Noxolo Monama). This was a way to unite the two families and make them acquainted business partners. Both Mazwi and Sphe did not have much to say on this. The marriage has not been a smooth one. Besides being grumpy, loyalty has not been one of their attributes.
Besides having previously cheated on each other. In the past few months Mazwi found himself in an entanglement with one of their clients Fikile (Refilwe Madumo). lt started off as business meetings then it turned to late nights then it went on to wine sessions then the entanglement. Sphe saw the signs but ignored them. The initial agreement for the affair was a no strings attached thing. But Fikile caught feelings.
Nothing stays hidden forever, Sphe eventually learned the truth. With hopes that Mazwi would end it before it got any further she decided not to confront him about the revelations. Things escalated between Mazwi and Fikile so much that Sphe ended about confronting Mazwi. It was bitter sweet because she gave him an ultimatum to choose between his family or Fikile.
Mazwi and Sphe finally reached common ground and agreed on a divorce settlement. Much to Mazwi’s surprise Sphe changed her mind she now wants a marriage of convenience. She has told the elders that she will stay in this marriage only if she gets the title as the Moroka Clan leader. Staying in this marriage benefits both families but Mazwi wants out. Question is will the divorce go on?
