Thousands of people are flocking to an open veld in KwaHlathi, Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal after the locals confirm that the land is full of diamonds. A video of a miner calling his wife and telling her that he has found diamonds’ worth lots of money went viral on Saturday. The Provincial Government spokesperson Lennox Mabaso says the authorities have been notified of this and the provincial government ordered the department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs to take the matter to the National Department of Minerals and Energy.
