Singer and performer Makhadzi just found yet another way to secure the bag. Makhadzi launched her lotion range by the name Mavoda Lotions. Makhadzi is one South African entertainer who is proud of her roots, and she doesn’t name any of her brands with English words. If we quite remember, the Salungano singer owns the Kokovha sneaker line. All her brands are named in her native Venda language.
Mavoda Lotion Range
Makhadzi started the range last year but only began selling it this year. Her lotion range has lip glosses, petroleum jelly and body lotions. With the flavoured mango lotion, the singer may be killing two birds with one stone. As we know, her home Province Limpopo is one of the biggest mango fruit producers in Mzansi. By creating a lotion with that flavour, she creates jobs in her community.
Also, in the international beauty industry, mango is not a popular flavour for lotions due to its rarity abroad. Most companies opt for lavender, cocoa butter and aloe creams, so her brand is pretty new but unique already.
With the packaging of the products, she used Venda prints on them again to represent her people. Currently, she’s one of the chart-topping musicians in Mzansi, but she sticks to her essence. Not an ounce of Makhadzi is diluted by Western culture. Mavoda will be sold at all major retailers soon, and with that, it’s most likely to sell like hotcakes.
Makhadzi’s other streams of income
She’s collaborated with many brands for promotions, and her music and performances generate hundreds and thousands every week. Outside of the lotion range, she also owns the Kokovha sneaker line. She also has four stunning houses she can use in the future for business purposes.
Makhadzi’s life going forward
Since being in the public eye, Makhadzi’s had ups and downs, but she keeps flourishing like a wildflower. With her captivating energy on stage, she will keep getting bookings from all over the world. Her music touches the soul as it’s all soothing, groovy and authentic. Her fan base will grow bigger. She and Master KG’s relationship seem to be getting serious by the day, and marriage may be on the cards.
