While Sindi Dlathu’s sociopathic character on The River, Lindiwe Dikana, is hard to bond with, many love to hate her. Just like those before her including the likes Connie Ferguson many might want to see her making waves both on-screen and behind the scenes as a producer.
With season 3 of The River left we might see Lindiwe Dikana character being killed off. Rumour has it that she will be axed off from the cast.
We can all wait and see as the drama unfolds on the remaining episodes. The River is surely ending on a shocking note. Definitely, the rumoured exit of Sindi Dlathu will bring about a new storyline for the much talked about Season 4.

However, the celebrated actress will be leaving the show, only for her onscreen role as she begins her journey as a producer. A close source did confirm that Dlathu will be joining her employers, Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon behind the scenes as the show’s producers for season 4.
The River has seen itself trending after entertainment commentator, Phil Mphela fueled the rumour. Phil Mphela also confirmed the news that The River’s season 3 ending will shock many.
Lindiwe’s latest rival Mohumi has evidence of all of Lindiwe’s sordid secrets and is on the verge of spilling all of them. While an exit by Lindiwe would shake the show to the core, it could be possible as Sindi will have her hands full working behind the scenes as an executive co-producer.
This seems true as last year Sindi was offered a role as a co-producer of the show. Will she go? Only time will tell but one thing is for sure, The River will never be the same without her. Even if she does leave her onscreen persona we are happy she is still affiliated with the show.
Sindi recently walked away with Best Actress at the South African Film & Television Award (Safta) 2020. Sindi is now joining a batch of Mzansi’s talented women who have proven that nothing is impossible and they are killing it behind the scenes.
Another actress who was recently offered a new role in Generations The Legacy is Chi Mhende. The actress is now a trainee director on the show.
