Lebohang Morake, better known as Lebo M, the producer of Lion King, is set to end his fifth marriage and file for divorce from his wife Pretty Samuels-Morake.
The composer confirmed the news in a statement released by his management on Tuesday, saying that he has already instructed his attorneys to proceed with the divorce. He did not reveal the reasons for the split, saying that he considers the matter to be private and personal.
“I will not be drawn into salacious allegations and innuendos about my business and personal life,” he said.
Morake has a history of failed marriages and relationships. He was married to Viveca Gipson for five years, then to Nandi Ndlovu for 11 years, then to Angela Ngani-Casara for five years. He also had a brief engagement with actress Zoe Mthiyane, with whom he has a child. He remarried Ngani-Casara but they divorced again in 2017. He got engaged to Samuels-Morake in April 2021.
In 2022, Samuels-Morake slammed Mthiyane in an interview with Sunday World, calling her a liar and an absent mother. Morake said he had custody of their child since 2018 and that Mthiyane had rarely seen the child after their break-up in 2016.
