In case you were dying to watch the inaugural KZN Entertainment Awards (KZNEA) you will not have to wait much longer. The awards will air on Saturday, 30 January 2021, on BET (DStv channel 129). While the event was limited to a select audience with the pandemic, viewers finally get to experience the recorded awards courtesy of BET.
The KZNEA chairman, Xolani Majozi was excited to share the awards with the world. “We are excited that the rest of the world will finally watch persons who have put KZN on the international map being honored,” he said.
The awards were specifically for entertainers from KZN and were hosted by Pearl Thusi and Somizi. Nomalanga “The Flame” Shozi was on black carpet duty. It’s safe to say that all three hosts went above and beyond for their duties and style wise. KZN’s stars arrived all glammed up for the award that was held on the 15th of December 2020 at Durban ICC. The black carpet of the night was a sight for sore eyes with celebrities serving up the finest looks of Mzansi. The awards went big with winners in each category walking away with R100,000.

The real winner of the night was musician Khuzani who won best Maskandi and KZN’s most loved. The artist walked away with an insane R600, 000.
The winners of the night include Sjava, Nomcebo Zikode, Dawn Thandeka King, S K Khoza,Tshatha Ngobe (UKhozi FM) and Jacinta Ngo bese.
The night’s performance list was massive with Big NUZ, DJ Tira, L’vovo Derrango, Nomcebo Zikode, Khuzani, Nasty C, Sjava and Babes Wodumo among other artists taking the stage.
