Matric dances have been all the rave in Mzansi at the moment as students prepare to show out at their final school dances. For most teens, it’s important to have a date to the dances and not having one may be embarrassing. South African musician/dancer Robot Boii came to the rescue of one of his biggest fans and escorted her as her date to her matric dance.
A lucky fan had Robot Boii as a date to her Matric Dance
Robot Boii shared on his Instagram that a concerned mother contacted him eight months ago asking for his help. In the message he shared, Nkele Mashaba sent a message to the musician asking him to be her daughter’s date. From what she said in the message, her daughter has been the victim of bullying at her school. This was because she has acne on her face. No one had asked her to be their date for the dance. She was worried, so she reached out to him because her daughter is the dancer’s fan.
Out of the goodness of his heart, Robot Boii responded to the concerned mother and promised to show up for her daughter. The musician came with his glam team and his photographer and made the 17-year-old’s night memorable. The pair stopped for photos with her family before leaving for the Matric dance. The girl was wearing a black and nude dress with full glam makeup. Robot Boii had a black tracksuit on with a black hat giving them a matching look.
