Gomora actress Mazet ‘Siphesihle Ndaba’ broke into tears as she gave her speech on ‘Mam Sonto’ Connie Chiume’s lifetime achievement award celebration. Connie Chiume has proved that she is one of the best actresses Mzansi has ever since. It’s safe to say that Connie now deserves a place in Mzansi’s Hall of Fame as far as acting is concerned. On top of being a fine actress, Connie is also a wonderful human being. His social skills with the camera are exceptional, and that has been a critical tool in her long journey.
Unlike many old actors, the seventy-year-old star has a unique way of interacting with upcoming and young talents. She has never found it hard to be close to new members in the game, and they have no words for it. Upon bringing home her SAFTAS Lifetime Achievement award, Gomora cast celebrated with her, ending with emotional speeches.
Several stars like Pretty ‘Siyasanga Papu’, Zodwa ‘Sannah Mchunu’ and Tshiamo ‘Lerato Mokoka’ all gave touching speeches that showed what Connie is all about behind the scenes. Despite all of them providing excellent speeches, Mazet’s speech caught many fans off guard as she broke into tears detailing what Connie is to her.

Mazet spoke of her relationship with Sonto, saying that Sonto knows how much she loves her. She noted that Sonto had been treating her like her child since they first met. This reflection got the best of Mazet, and she saw tears dropping from her eyes down the chick. Fellow actors brought her tissues to wipe away the tears as she continued her speech. She continued wishing to open her heart to show Sonto how they had given her warmth.
Mazet’s speech brought emotions from everyone in the room, evident on their faces. To Sonto, she showed her maturity as she managed her feelings well without dropping any tears. She only smiled and clapped her hands with so much admiration for Mazet.

Mazet ‘Siphesihle Ndaba’ and Mam Sonto ‘Connie Chiume’ have a close relationship with Gomora.
Despite not Mazet not being Sonto’s blood daughter, she is arguably her favourite daughter over Thathi and Pretty. Most of the time, Sonto’s blood daughters get jealous of Mazet as she gets all of Sonto’s attention. The two have worked so closely since Mazet joined, and this justifies the close relationship the two actresses share.
